Say Yes to Leopard Print

Today I wanted to talk a bit about adding leopard print to your wardrobe.  I have to tell y'all that it's such a great neutral (print & color) that you can almost add a touch of it to every outfit.  That's the key though - just a touch!  All you need is a simple belt, a pair of flats, or maybe a blouse or pair of ankle boots.  It can take an otherwise "boring" outfit & add visual interest & pizazz.  Plus, it literally goes with almost any color...red, green, pink, maroon, teal, coral, yellow, orange, cream, grey, black....I think you get it :-)

So, on with the examples:

Leopard Print for work or play

Long sleeve shirt / Sequin top / Steve Madden black flat / Blu Bijoux turquoise jewelry / Kohl jewelry / Gold bracelet

Let's see if you guys remember a few things about me:  I said before that one of my favorite looks for this season is layering button-up shirts underneath sweaters & cardigans...remember to pull out the collar & turn the cuffs to add more pop.  Also, what's one of my favorite sayings...things don't have to "match", they have to "go"!!!  Look how fun it is to add a pop of orange with this ensemble...fantastic!  I know this makes some people nervous, but don't be afraid...just give it a go!  Worst case, you don't like it & you take it off, right?!?  Oh, this outfit is great for work or play, just change the pants out accordingly.  For work a nice pair of slacks or cotton ankle pants.  For play, a pair of jeans or black jeggings would be great!

Leopard print for running around

Vintage Havana long sleeve top / Old Navy graphic design t shirt / American Eagle Outfitters faded blue jeans / Sam & Libby high heel booties / Nali green handbag / Stella Dot aqua jewelry

Another great option for a casual look wearing a leopard print ankle boot.  Again, throw in an unexpected color in your accessories for something fun!

For the office; Leopard print

Worthington skirt / Madden girl shoes / GUESS statement necklace / Hive & Honey stud earrings / ALDO kohl jewelry / Mango leather belt

Love this look!!  I have to confess here....I actually bought this exact skirt to wear just like you see here, but with a green color block blouse.  Sadly, the skirt didn't work for me so it all went back to the store...sad day!!!  Anyway, this is still a fantastic look.  It shows you than you can mix leopard print with another print.

Casual Leopard Print

Red shirt, $31 / Bke jeans / Xhilaration slip on shoes / Mata Traders gold earrings

Another great casual option using a pair of flats.  I use my leopard print flats all the time for a casual look...they are a very easy way to spice up an outfit without any thought!  By the way, loving the earrings here!!

Dressing up with leopard print

Alice You white top / H M circle skirt, $33 / Charlotte Russe leopard shoes / Kate Spade earrings / Essie nail polish

Hello...is this not a fantastic outfit?!  I wish I had a reason to wear it!!  There is a lot of patterns & textures in this outfit, so I paired it with a simple pair of pink studs & pink polish for the nails.

Below you will see how I've been wearing leopard print in my wardrobe of late:

Do you have any leopard print in your closet?  If not, maybe you should add a small piece ;-)

Happy New Year to everyone!  I hope 2014 brings much joy & happiness to you all!
