High Five for Friday - Outfit Recap

Hello All!!  Welcome to Friday again!  It's been a fairly good week around here...we had a kids dance at the school, a Bachelorette Party where we made Glass Fusion projects (well as least I did), & we've had a bizarre case of Strep Throat to top it all off.  That last part sounds terrible, but it really wasn't which is the "bizarre" part.

Anyway, on with the real topic at hand.  For this Friday's High Five I thought I would recap some outfits I've been wearing lately (of course sticking with the theme of 5).  All of these outfits include pieces that I've already featured or worn in previous posts, hence the reason I wanted to share them.  As I said earlier this week, I want to be a realistic blogger, and in real life, we all wear things more than once, right?  So I've documented those occasions along the way, but now it's time to get some of these photos off my camera & free up some space! :-)

First up, the Striped Blazer from Sam's Club.  On the left is the original post & the way I wore it, & on the right is how I've remixed it lately.  Simply wore it with a graphic tee underneath & wore my distressed boyfriend cut jeans.  I then added a long gold necklace & comfy red flats.  By the way, while I was at Target today I saw this blazer which is nearly identical (pocket detail is different).

Next up is this bargain dress.  See the original post here where I just wore it "as is" only adding jewelry.  This time I added a cardigan & cobalt blue belt over the top.  I used one of the methods from this post to knot my belt...fun!

This one is from the Pink Tweed post, as seen on the left.  I threw the outfit on the right on for a causal day of errands.  It was very comfortable, I must say!  The green leggings are a purchase from the Loft last year & the scarf is Forever 21 (sold out, sorry!).

This is from a more recent post titled Camo Love?  On that post I showed examples of how you can wear Camo print.  In the process of putting together this post, I decided I needed some Camo print of my own!  Two days later I was at American Eagle & look what I ran into...these Camo Skinny Jeans!  Not only did I find them, they fit great, they were on markdown for $29.99, & they were doing an extra 50% off of marked down items that day....I paid a whopping $16.01 for these babies!  Meant to be I tell ya!!  I will say this particular pair is a very dark Camo print, as you can see from the outfit picture.  That doesn't bother me however, since I was unsure about Camo print for myself anyway.  I styled it much the way I depicted in the examples from the original post.  Check it out if you didn't see it.  I think you'll be wanting some Camo print once you've seen it. :-)  I'm sorry I can't find this exact pair online, but you can find similar ones here & here.

Lastly I wanted to show more ways I've been wearing my new favorite Jeans (Stella Destroyed Jean Legging from Express) as I mentioned on this post.  Very comfortable & very versatile & very pleased with this purchase!!  Oh, in the top picture is also the red blouse I originally wore on the Striped Blazer post from above as well.

So there you have it - me in real life.  I'll be sure to keep documenting & posting these remixes more often. Always let me know if you have questions on anything I didn't mention the source of...I'm glad to share the info!

Happy weekend everyone!!

  2. Yay, I love your outfit posts! Every single outfit is polished and pretty. I definitely re-wear exact outfits...with no re-mixing at all. Sometimes it's a headache for me to put together a look I like with a certain piece, so once I figure out all the details (shoes, accessories, etc.) I don't want to go back to the drawing board! I just want to wear it again...a month later so no one remembers!

    1. I hear ya....why fix what's not broken! I have this weird thing that started way back in at least Junior High...I can't re-wear the same thing for a least 2 weeks. That has gotten better since I started working from home 10 years ago, but I still fall back into that theory for work or social outfits...weird I tell ya! :-) Thanks for the shout out too! Happy Weekend!
